Not sure where today went, either. We all sort of goofed off all day, and got Dearest Son logged into Wii Fit, so he could play the games he liked. I got in a solid 35 minutes today, and felt great. I can handle some of the more difficult exercises a little better, and I had more fun. Beloved Hubby put in nearly an hour ! I’m thinking of splitting my time, do maybe 20 minutes in the morning, after everyone’s gone, and then about 10 or 15 in the evening.
Rented Little Mermaid 3 : Ariel’s Beginning from the RedBox. Eeeeh. Beloved offered to buy me the set – yes, the vanity set with the crown, brush, and mirror ! – but it really wasn’t that exceptional. It wasn’t bad, but I don’t see me watching it more than once. Of course, when they play the same song three times during an hour and fifteen… it wasn’t even an original song, it was Jump In The Line, which I remember more from Beetlejuice. With all the calypso music out there, I have no idea why they wanted to grind this one in our ears.
It was ultimately rather bland, but I do have to say one thing, and I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, not that there’s any real spoilers to tell, but Ariel’s momma had some hip on her ! It was nice to see a more full-figured character in Disney, it’s too bad she was gone so quickly. Now, don’t get me wrong, she’s still svelte. Just not as tiny as all the other mermaids. And baby Ariel and her sisters were all cute, but that goes without saying. Heck, I’ve had a baby Ariel doll for over a year, I knew she was a cutie !
