Happy Thanksgiving ! Dearest Son and I spent about two hours after a big bacon breakfast cleaning the living room this morning - what a job ! We've decided that all his toys are now staying in his room, having a toy box in the living room simply isn't working. He'll put toys away at day's end, after his shower, but before Story Time. And I get to clean his room over the holiday weekend, he can't complain when Happy Meal toys and broken pieces vanish, since he wasn't willing to clean it himself. Should have a big donation for Monday. It'll actually be easier on me, since I won't constantly be on his butt to get stuff done.
Otherwise, it was a quiet day. Dinner at Gramma's was nice, and I had seconds on pumpkin pie. Read and poked and played - and got ready for tomorrow ! There's a pattern sale, a craft fair, and Black Friday to get through - and I'm sort of excited about it all !
But it was a day to think and hope, too. I hope yours was filled with the bounty of the season and the gift of appreciation.
