Now Playing: 'Se7en' - we don't often get to watch the more adult stuff...
...because I can't tell you. Maybe it should be filed under 'Fools Never Learn'.
Sewed the pants that were on the same page as the dress I sewed yesterday, from Sewing for 20th Century Dolls, Vol. 1. Didn't add a seam allowance. And, of course, the pants are much too tight, and even adding 1/4" all around wouldn't help much. Even with that, she still couldn't sit, or even move her legs.
Just to compare, I went to open Doll Shop Deluxe. And that wasn't working either. Only opened into one corner of the screen. Printed out all my measurements, then went to download Dress Shop again. Found out that updating Internet Explorer does that to DSD, and LivingSoft already had a patch, ready to go. *&^% automatic updates. We don't even use IE. But I decided to go ahead and download the whole Dress Shop set again. I only had v. 5.19, what I got today was 5.33. There's a few new collar options, but I swear, it seems like there's fewer patterns. That could just be my imagination, though, when I see all the 'gray out' choices I can't use.
Anyway, comparing DSD to 20th Century was like comparing today's weather to last week's. You can hardly form words adequate enough to meet the challenge. So, fark it, I'm about done with 20th Century.
And what else did I do today ? Spent three hours fitting yesterday's too-big 20th Century Dress A : Attempt #1 to Isabella (Interactive Belle). It didn't take me that long to make the dress to start with ! But you know how I am, I hate to toss anything, and I'm definitely gonna have to bin the pants I sewed today. (sigh) Not quite done with Isa's new dress yet - heck, I didn't finish Crissy's, once I knew it fit - but I'll get photos up as soon as I can.
Right now, though, we're on Day 3 of 'Crappy Weather : Stranded Indoors' , and I'm getting a bit of a headache again. One of the good things about it all is that I've definitely caught up on my sleep ! Roads have been too treacherous to go get Dearest Son from his dearest grandparents, so it's been awful quiet around here. Yesterday, the elastic broke in the cute little slippers they gave me two Christmasses ago - and I fixed it within ten minutes. I'm a little bored on occasion...
