Dorrie's Doll Diaries

Big, busy doll day, all day !
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: XM 150 - Uncensored Comedy

Nice, quiet day. Dearest Son got the dominoes he wanted - poor guy had to choose between classic 'black and white' and 'bright primary colors'. He went for the colors, and has had fun setting 'em up to topple, making them 'cargo' in the train sets, and tossing them up to create 'rain'. I'll have to show him how to play dominoes soon.

It was funny to see that, even though they're all colors, they have the same 'dragon' on the back I remember from my childhood. Reason I remember 'em was because I always taped them, dragon-side-out, to the walls of my Barbies' cardboard houses. To me, they were art.

I scored two watercolor gardens posters, shrink-wrapped to cardboard. These make fantastic backdrops ! Our poor camera used them well with sunlight when I tested 'em, but the new photos I took this evening bounced that flash back, bright. So I need to play with them some more.

Here's yesterday's Cars fabric ! More on Fiyero's page, but suffice to say here that I learned a lot on this shirt ! The cars themselves look a bit better in person, but after 50 photos - yup, 50 takes ! - I went for the best of the lot and wanted to be done with it.

Since I had to cut from all over that quarter yard to fit it best for Fiyero's shirt, there's not a lot left. I may yet find some use for it, but not today. I finally got Room With A View set up, and to do it, I had to clean and re-do two bookshelves, my doll prop storage, and organize some other stuff that was in the way, and I'm about done with dolls for the day !

But I'm happy. I can do collared shirts now, and my curved hems are getting better each time. Elphie's happily relaxing in her bedroom, reading a 'magazine' I made for her last year, and Fiyero's also reading from the shelf above the sewing machine. I can hear dominoes fall behind me, and Beloved Hubby's on his way home. :)
